Hi everyone! My name is Jackie, and this is my story.

In 2023, I founded my nonprofit dog rescue, Mahina’s Ohana Rescue, in honor of my very first rescue pit bull, Mahina, who completely changed my life. I rescued her while living on the Big Island of Hawaiʻi, and she inspired me to dedicate my life to helping dogs who need a second chance.

Since then, our rescue has saved countless dogs from high-kill shelters and helped them find loving forever homes here in the Pacific Northwest. My heart has always belonged to dogs, but especially the underdogs— the ones who are often overlooked, misunderstood, or given up on.

About a year ago, I moved to a larger ranch property along the beautiful breathtaking northern Oregon coast so I could continue growing my rescue and create an even better place for dogs to heal, decompress, and begin their new lives.

One of my long-term goals is to open a home-based dog boarding business that specializes in providing a safe, low-stress environment for all dogs—including those with behavioral challenges who often struggle in traditional boarding facilities.

Alongside rescuing dogs, I’ve always had a passion for art, design, and creating merchandise. One day it hit me—why not combine everything I love into one brand? That’s how my merchandise was born. I created this hardcore dog merch as a way to combine two things that have always been a huge part of my life: rescue dogs and heavy rock music.

I’ve blended my love for rescue dogs with my darker, alternative aesthetic to create apparel and accessories for people who love dogs but also appreciate bold, unique designs. Every piece represents the underdogs— the dogs that deserve another chance and the people who proudly stand beside them.

Every design in this collection is inspired by the incredible rescue dogs I’ve saved from death row. Each one has their own story of survival, resilience, and second chances. Instead of focusing on what they’ve been through, I wanted to capture their bold, goofy, fearless, and spunky personalities— the side that shines once they’re finally safe and loved.

This merch is a celebration of underdogs, individuality, and never giving up. It’s for the people who love dogs, live loud, and believe every rescue deserves a chance to write a new story.
